The laboriousness of the population of Vicenza, their great propensity to “get it done” has without a doubt been the winning card in the deck of the Vicenza economy. Local entrepreneurs have understood the need to work across the board in a globalized economy, where managerial skills are increasingly needed, where it is a priority to invest in training and professional updating, which are fundamental components of continuous improvement. Thus, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Associations, first rate training structures have been created in Vicenza to spread the culture of enterprise: authentic centers of “knowledge” where a person can acquire the fundamental instruments needed to face an increasingly complex market.

The CUOA Foundation, created in 1957 as a school of post-university training, is a management school supported by enterprises and Associations, credit institutes, public organizations and universities. It proposes training initiatives for young people (masters and post-graduate courses), for company management personnel, and Italian and foreign entrepreneurs. The foundation performs management consultancy on management issues, carries out research and monitors important social and economic themes regarding management and training requirements.

Founded in 1952, the Centro Produttività Veneto organizes training courses in all areas and company specializations for entrepreneurs; seminars and conferences; consultancy on trademarks, patents, technologies, innovation and financing. Additionally an orientation and information service is offered for young people and new enterprises.
The Centro Produttività Veneto is an important foundation, which works in favor of five Chambers of Commerce in the Veneto region, creating a bridge between private and public companies, entrepreneur associations and territorial institutions.

In Vicenza, several university courses take place that are distinguished for their orientation towards innovation and their close connection with the local economy. These are courses for degree-seeking students in Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronic Engineering; a degree course of specialization in Management Engineering; degree courses in Economics and International Trade and Economics and Business Administration and, finally, the degree course in Food Health, Hygiene and Safety, which belongs to the degree course in Veterinary Medicine.
Finally, some first rate professional institutes are to be found in Vicenza, among these the "Scuola d'Arte e Mestieri" (Vicenza) and the "I.RI.GEM" (Rosà) for the goldsmithery and restoration sector, and the Institute of Nove for the ceramic sector. Besides these institutes, there are others committed with training for the mechanical, electronic and wood processing sector.
