Such a consistent and diversified productive context, which is so strongly internationalized, grew up thanks to the presence, in the territory, of adequate support from the world of finance and credit. It is not by chance, therefore, that there are 50 banking groups in the territory of Vicenza, between Italian and foreign credit institutes, with over 550 counters. In this field, too, the Province of Vicenza plays a main role. The proof of this lies in the consistent presence of cooperative credit institutes that originated locally, which has developed an extremely well rooted credit structure in the territory and is nevertheless capable of looking beyond the limits of Provincial boundaries. All of the most important national credit institutions, which have developed their strategic policies to assist enterprises abroad, are present on the markets where Vicenza’s products are sold. The local world of credit has therefore played a decisive role in accompanying Vicenza’s enterprises in the process of internationalization and, vice versa, in facilitating business contacts of foreign enterprises with the world of “Made in Vicenza” products.
